Rufus Wainwright
15 Years of Foolish Love

Poster Design
Digital Collage and Layout

Rufus Wainwright, an iconic figure in contemporary music, has charmed audiences with his distinctive blend of baroque pop and theatrical flair. With a voice that possesses both vulnerability and strength, Wainwright's songs delve into themes of love, loss, and self-discovery, earning him a dedicated following and critical acclaim across the globe.

I designed this poster for an hypothetical concert commemorating Rufus' fifteenth anniversary in music. For this design, I created a digital collage using various images, including the iconic Steinway & Sons piano, which is Rufus' primary instrument, as well as visuals reminiscent of his influences, such as actress Louise Brooks, opera singer Maria Callas, and composer Giuseppe Verdi. Some of his most notable album covers, such as Release the Stars and his homage to Judy Garland’s famous concert at Carnegie Hall, served as inspiration for this piece.
